1960年代のヴィンテージネクタイを、一本、分解しました。
縫い目、芯地、寸法、大剣の縫い方——
すべてを記録し、忠実に再現しています。

当時、大剣はミシンで縫われていました。
そのミシンは今ではほとんど現存せず、扱える職人は日本に数人。
私たちは2年かけて、その一人に出会いました。

シルク100%。
当時と同じウールの芯地。
1960年代の幅、6.5cm。
状態の良いヴィンテージが一点物のリスクを抱える一方で、
これはいわば「新品の1960年代」です。

すべて一人の職人の手から生まれるため、生産数はごくわずかです。
そして彼が引退するとき、このネクタイの生産は終わります。

We took apart an original necktie from the 1960s — and recorded everything:
every stitch,
the interlining,
the dimensions, and the way the blade was sewn.

Back then, the blade was sewn by machine.
Those machines barely exist today,
and only a handful of craftsmen in Japan can still do this work.
It took us two years to find one of them.

Silk 100%. Wool interlining,
just as it was. 6.5cm — the true width of the 1960s.
While a good vintage tie is a one-off with all its risks,
this is, in effect, a brand-new tie from the 1960s.

Every tie comes from the hands of one craftsman, so production is very limited.
And when he retires, production ends.
